A list of titles displayed on a player's profile

Titles are unlockable words or phrases you can apply to your mouse. They appear below the names of players. All new players begin with one title—Little Mouse, and can earn more by completing specific goals. You can achieve as many titles as you want, but may only assign one to your mouse at any time. Titles do not expire, are always kept when unlocked, and are displayed on your profile when you unlock them. Titles do not appear below players for a player that has turned off their "Display titles" option.

Stars

If you achieve a title multiple times, stars (★) are added to the end of it. This means if you unlock all the titles in a category, you will start to re-unlock them, this time with a star.

For example, if a player unlocks the last title from the shop category (Superstar—50 items) and they get a 51st item from the shop, they will achieve "Nice Mouse ★" and so on. This only applies to bootcamp titles, shop titles and some old event titles:

The stars are a different color depending on how many there are:

Stars for shop item titles were added on 13 December 2013 (V1.130).

Managing titles

To manage your title, type /title in-game in the chat box to see a list of titles you have unlocked so far. Each title has a number after the /title command which is used to change your title to the desired one. To do this, type /title [number], for example /title 0 to change your title to "Little Mouse".

You can also select your title by clicking on it in your profile. There is a search box at the top right of the title area to make finding titles easier. This feature was added on 19 May 2017 (V1.383).

Gender title

As of 8 July 2016, some titles will show as gender-specific based on the gender set on one's profile. What titles this affects can be different between languages (since in some languages a term might not be gender-specific). If no gender is set, male titles are used by default.

It is possible to earn stars (★) for this title series (e.g. if you complete 1,001 bootcamps, you will unlock "Rookie ★" and the final bootcamp title is "Gravity Master ★★★★★★★★", which is unlocked by completing 9,000 bootcamps).

• Shaman and mouse titles were added to Transformice at the same time as accounts, on 14 May 2010 (V0.10).
• Some titles are pop culture references.
• Title IDs are a good indicator of the order titles were added to the game, except for the administrator titles between 440 and 454.
• On 15 May 2010 (V0.11), 3 titles were added for the best players. « The Cheese Guardian »⁽²⁰¹⁾ was unlocked by reaching the first place in the ranking of gathered cheese until 5 August 2010. « Goddess Shaman »⁽²⁰⁰⁾ was for first place in shaman saves and « The Wind Master »⁽²⁰²⁾ was for first place for most cheese gathered first.
• « Halloween 2012 »⁽³⁰⁵⁾ was from Halloween 2013, not Halloween 2012.
• « Cock-a-doodle-doo »⁽³²⁰⁾ and « Cocoa »⁽³²¹⁾ were called Cocorico and Cacao respectively before being translated from French.
• The Steam achievement for « Sexy »⁽¹²⁵⁾ only requires the player to purchase 20 items, rather than 45, to be unlocked. The title itself still requires 45 items purchased, however.
• « Scientist »⁽³²⁵⁾ for 1,000 divine mode saves was finally added on 6 March 2017 (V1.367). It had been unawarded since divine mode titles were added on 26 May 2014 (V1.159).

• Several titles were planned for backers of the Transformice Adventures Kickstarter but the campaign was cancelled. Planned titles included « Supporter », « Devoted », « Adventurer », « Shaman Backer », « Shaman Guardian », « Transformice Hero » and « Elisah's Worshipper ».
• Title Contest 2018 came up with the names of the survivor titles released in 2018.
• Title Contest 2021 came up with the names of the racing and defilante titles released in 2021 (V1.670).
• The guillemets (« ») were removed from titles above mice on 21 January 2021 (V1.617) to fix right-to-left languages (e.g. Arabic and Hebrew).
• Before 8 July 2021 (V1.647), your title would automatically change when you earned a new one.
• « Red Pen Warrior »⁽⁵⁶³⁾ was originally added into the language files in Back to School 2023, but was never used in the event.
