Music was a game mode. The objective of this mode was the same as the normal and vanilla game modes where you must bring the cheese to the hole, most of the time with the help of the shaman. Music maps belong to the P19 map category.
Music was removed on 11 June 2020 (V1.579) as the YouTube API is deprecated.
Music was similar to the normal game mode except players in the room could upload YouTube videos to a playlist and they played on the video screen decoration in the map. The music game mode played its own unique maps made specifically for this game mode, similar to defilante's maps' similarity to racing maps.
When entering a room, in the top left corner there was a disc with a music note in front of it. Clicking it brought you to an interface that asked you to post your video in the text box.
Clicking Playlist showed all the videos suggested by others in that session. Using the
/skip chat command allowed you to vote for skipping the current video, and if 10[confirm] mice voted to skip the video, the video would end.
All videos would either end when they are over or when five minutes have passed. If a video was longer than five minutes, it would end once five minutes have passed either way.
The video screen decoration had two sizes: small and large. These both displayed the video that was currently being played.
The video screen decoration was non-solid, so your player mouse could not come into contact with it unless there was ground placed in its place in the map.
When a video started playing, the title and the submitter would be displayed in the chat box. Clicking the YouTube icon at the bottom right of the video player would open the video in a new tab; it also stopped playing the video in Transformice.
If the player who submitted a video left the room it would stop playing.
Only one video submitted by one player could be in the playlist at a time. You could not submit another video while your video was playing.
- Music was speculated to be based off Baffbot rooms.
