The mousehole , is an area on all maps, where the mice bring the cheese after picking it up. There are 3 types of mouseholes: Regular (Grey), Blue, and Pink. Mice must bring cheese back to the mouse hole in order to complete the level but if they try to enter the hole with cheese before 5 seconds have passed they will be killed. This is known as the 5 Second Rule.
Gray Mouseholes
Gray mouse holes are the standard mouseholes found on most maps. There can be 1 or 2 mouseholes per map. It does not matter which gray mousehole the mice enter but some holes may be easier to reach than others. Maps with gray mouseholes can have no shaman, 1 shaman, or two shamans working together. Any shaman on the map will receive a number of points equal to the number of mice that entered a hole with cheese.

Pink and blue mouseholes will always appear together on a map. There will only be one of each and there will never be a gray mousehole on the same map. There will also always be two shaman, one pink and one blue. Shaman will receive a number of point equals to twice the number of mice entering their hole and no points for mice entering the other hole. As a result the shamans often fight each other for the mice's cheese.
