Elections was an event in Transformice, which started on 15 May 2015 (V1.241).[1] Elections were removed on 28 June 2018 (V1.470) due to repetitive abuse.
Elections took place between all mice with the same fur to be elected mayor, and then a separate election was done to choose which mayor would become the president. The elections was server-dependent, so each server would have its own mayors / president.
Votes were not counted as 1 per person; instead, when a person cast a vote, it counted as "# of skins owned" votes. These could not be split between candidates, and was done automatically.
People with a high number of skins had much voting power in smaller servers. Due to this, players with large amounts of skins were asked to vote in a server they did not normally frequent.
History[]
On 28 May 2015 (V1.245), features were added to the election system:
- Presidents could now organize 2 referendums during their term (these are surveys). This would allow players to pass their opinions directly to the administrators of the game. Got a suggestion? Make a referendum and show them what the rest of the mice think about it!
- The duration of the elections was modified
- 4 days to elect the Mayor
- 4 days to elect the President
- The President remains in place for 16 days. During the last 4 days of their term, players can already elect their new mayors.
On 5 June 2015 (V1.247), all players could vote to elect their president.
